Addressing Global Warming

At Puncture Proof, we believe that climate change is a reality, that it needs to be addressed with the utmost urgency. While our product reduces carbon emissions through increased fuel efficiency and is composed of 10% recycled tyres and, is in fact, carbon positive, we still generate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the day to day running of the business.

To make our business sustainable we have partnered with Coolplanet to calculate, reduce and offset all GHG emissions associated with the running of Puncture Proof. Included in the calcualtion of our carbon footprint was staff travel, electricity use, product distribution, printing, waste and plane travel. We are also actively reducing our carbon footprint with a range of measures recommended by Coolplanet.

Our GHG emissions for 2009 have been completely offset by supporting two carbon abatement projects, a wind farm in india (generating VCU's) and a waste diversion facility in Freemantle (generating Greenhouse Friendly VER's). Puncture Proof is proud to be partnering with Coolplanet and being certified as carbon neutral.
